Dave's Dog World - Requirements

All dogs are screened for acceptable social behaviour, health issues and proof of current vaccinations. Initial Consultation and Assessment return to top All of our services include a free initial consultation and assessment to: Gain an understanding of your needs and your pet’s developmental requirements Assess a dog’s fit with Dave’s Dog World To answer any questions you may have Determine which services would best suit your pet’s needs Provide you with a list of current references. Immunization Requirements return to top All dogs must have up-to-date vaccinations. Dogs should be immunized against Rabies, Distemper, Hepatitis, Para influenza, Parvovirus and Bordetella (kennel cough). A photocopy of the vaccination records will be provided upon enrolment, and every time they are updated. Parasite Control return to top Dogs must be free of external parasites. Flea control program required from May to November. Also, all dogs must have a negative fecal exam done within the current vaccination period. Overall Health return to top Dogs must be in good health and free of any contagious illness that could potentially jeopardize the health of other dogs. Any health conditions will be discussed thoroughly prior to commencement of services. This will ensure that the condition can be safely managed while in the care of Dave’s Dog World. Dogs over the age of 8 months must be spayed or neutered. Social Behaviour return to top Zero tolerance policy regarding aggression, domination and possession issues. For the protection of all dogs in our care and the general public, Dave’s Dog World reserves the right to refuse dogs that are anti-social and/or disruptive. Veterinary Services return to top The client is requested to complete a Pet/Veterinarian Release Form for authorization of medical care in the event of an emergency. Note that every effort will be made by Dave’s Dog World to use your pet’s veterinarian so that there will be a continuity of care. Other Policies return to top All dogs must wear a secure collar and possess proper identification tags. All completed signed forms and waivers are required prior to commencement of service(s). Dave’s Dog World will ensure your privacy and keep all information confidential. Dave’s Dog World performs all services. Dave’s Dog World does not subcontract services. A key for entry will be provided to Dave’s Dog World prior to commencement of service(s).
